On Intersections of Land, Law, and Literature, from Primitive Territories to the Post-National Future

I am currently an Associate Professor of English at SUNY Buffalo. I am a specialist in Middle English and Middle Scots literature, with even more specific specializations in alliterative verse, Arthurian literature, medieval romance (including in Old French), geography, imperialism, nationalism, ecocriticism, medievalism, disciplinary history, and literary history. I am the author of a number of articles and reviews, as well as one monograph, Revivalist Fantasy: Alliterative Verse and Nationalist Literary History (Ohio State University Press, 2011). I also micro-blog under Randy_Schiff at twitter.com.
